Titans vs Tigers
Kicking off the round we have the Titans hosting the Tigers. The Titans are coming off a high scoring loss to the Rabbitohs while the Tigers are coming off a brutal 1-point loss to the Raiders after falling short of one of the greatest comebacks in NRL history. The Titans have now lost 3 games in a row but will be looking towards this fixture knowing it is a winnable one, taking the last 5 encounters vs the Titans.
While the Titans do have a big out in David Fifita, they are welcoming back AJ Brimson who is always electric in attack. I think the Titans are the slightly better outfit despite losing David Fifita, but I am expecting it to be a close one.
Bookmaker | Daniel’s Tip | Odds |
Either team by 6 or less | $2.85
Khan-Pereira to score a try | $1.87
Titans to win | $1.77 |
Predicted Squads
Titans: 1. AJ Brimson 2. Alofiano Khan-Pereira 3. Brian Kelly 4. Aaron Schoupp 5. Phillip Sami 6. Jayden Campbell 7. Tanah Boyd 8. Moeaki Fotuaika 9. Sam Verills 10. Tino Fa’asuamaleaui 11. Klese Haas 12. Joe Stimson 13. Isaac Liu 14. Kruise Leeming 15. Erin Clark 16. Jaimin Jolliffe 17. Iszac Fa’asuamaleaui

Raiders vs Warriors
Our first game on Friday night sees the Raiders hosting the Warriors. The Raiders are coming off a 1-point win away at the Tigers after almost blowing an 18-0 lead with 12 minutes to go, while the Warriors are coming off an excellent 30-8-point win against the Dolphins at home. While the Warriors were great last week, they have historically been far better when playing in New Zealand. The Raiders on the other hand were great for 68 minutes of the game, with Fogarty having a masterclass but a sinbin from Starling changed the tides, and they were missing multiple starting players.
The Raiders will welcome back Elliot Whitehead, Jarrod Croker and Sebastian Kris, all valuable injections into the side. It is Jarrod Croker’s 300th game for the club and I am expecting them to turn up for such a big occasion at home.
Bookmaker | Daniel’s Tip | Odds |
Halftime/Fulltime double – Raiders/Raiders | $2.15
Raiders -1.5 first half | $1.79
Race to 20 points – Canberra Raiders | $1.80 |
Predicted Squads
Raiders: 1. Sebastian Kris 2. Albert Hopoate 3. Jared Croker 4. Matthew Timoko 5. Jordan Rapana 6. Jack Wighton 7. Jamal Fogarty 8. Josh Papalii 9. Zac Woolford 10. Joseph Tapine 11. Hudson Young 12. Ellot Whitehead 13. Corey Horsburgh 14. Tom Starling 15. Emre Guler 16. Nick Cotric 17. Pasami Saulo
Warriors: 1. Charnze Nicoll-Klokstad 2. Dallin Watene-Zelezniak 3. Ali Leiatau 4. Adam Pompey 5. Marcelo Montoya 6. Luke Metcalf 7. Shaun Johnson 8. Addin Fonua-Blake 9. Wayde Egan 10. Bunty Afoa 11. Jackson Ford 12. Marata Niukore 13. Tohu Harris 14. Bayley Sironen 15. Josh Curran 16. Mitch Barnett 17. Tom Ale
Sea Eagles vs Dolphins
Our second game on Friday night sees the Sea Eagles hosting the Dolphins. Manly should be coming into this game well rested from the bye while the Dolphins will be looking to make a statement after losing by 22 points to the Warriors. Tom Trbojevic is set to make an early return from a concussion in State of Origin, with manly receiving an exemption for him to play. The Dolphins are down a lot of troops this week, losing Jarrod Wallace last week, adding to their extensive forward outs including Kaufusi and Gilbert.
This Dolphins side has shown they have a lot of fight and can compete, but I think an almost fully fit Manly side should be too good for them considering their injuries. The Dolphins score and concede around 23 points per game, and once again I see this being a high scoring encounter.
Bookmaker | Daniel’s Tip | Odds |
Halftime/Fulltime double – Sea Eagles/Sea Eagles | $1.80
Sea Eagles -7.5 | $1.76 | |
Over 45.5 | $1.91 |
Predicted Squads
Sea Eagles: 1. Tom Trbojevic 2. Jason Saab 3. Tolutau Koula 4. Reuben Garrick 5. Christian Tuipulotu 6. Josh Schuster 7. Daly Cherry-Evans 8. Taniela Paseka 9. Lachlan Croker 10. Toafofoa Sipley 11. Haumole Olakau’atu 12. Samuela Fainu 13. Sean Keppie 14. Karl Lawton 15. Josh Aloiai 16. Ethan Bullemor 17. Benjamin Condon
Dolphins: 1. Hamiso Tabuai-Fidow 2. Jamayne Isaako 3. Euan Aitken 4. Brenko Lee 5. Tesi Niu 6. Kodi Nikorima 7. Isaiya Katoa 8. Jesse Bromwich 9. Jeremy Marhsall-King 10. Poasa Faamausili 11. Kenny Bromwich 12. Connelly Lemuelu 13. Ray Stone 14. Herman Ese’ese 15. Mark Nicholls 16. Kurt Donoghoe 17. Valynce Te Whare
Dragons vs Rabbitohs
Kicking off Super Saturday we have the Dragons hosting the Rabbitohs. The Dragons fought well but lost to Panthers by 8-points, failing to capitalize on Cleary’s absence while the Rabbitohs won 46-28 against the Titans. The Dragons sit on the bottom of the ladder, winning just 3 of 13 games while the Rabbitohs sit in 3rd with 9 wins from 14.
The Rabbitohs do have big injuries with Latrell Mitchell, Jai Arrow and Cameron Murray all out. While these are big injuries, they showed last week just how capable they are of playing with Taaffe, helping them get to a grand final in 2021. The Rabbitohs forward pack will be weakened but I have to back a team playing the way they are on the back of Cody Walker, who is now trying to claim a spot in Origin.
Bookmaker | Daniel’s Tip | Odds |
Rabbitohs -3.5 First Hal | $1.83
Campbell Graham to score a try | $2.30
Rabbitohs -7.5 | $1.91 |
Predicted Squads
Dragons: 1. Tyrell Sloan 2. Mat Feagai 3. Moses Suli 4. Zac Lomax 5. Mikaele Ravalawa 6. Jayden Sullivan 7. Ben Hunt 8. Francis Molo 9. Jacob Liddle 10. Michael Molo 11. Billy Burns 12. Jaydn Su'A 13. Ben Murdoch-Masioa 14. Moses Mbye 15. Jaiyden Hunt 16. Josh Kerr 17. Zane Musgrove
Rabbitohs: 1. Blake Taaffe 2. Alex Johnston 3. Isaiah Tass 4. Campbell Graham 5. Richard Kennar 6. Cody Walker 7. Lachlan Ilias 8. Tevita Tatola 9. Damien Cook 10. Hame Sele 11. Keaon Koloamatangi 12. Jacob Host 13. Shaquai Mitchell 14. Jed Cartwright 15. Michael Chee Kam 16. Siliva Havili 17. Daniel Suluka-Fifita
Broncos vs Knights
Our second game on Saturday sees the Broncos hosting the Knights. The Broncos are coming off an incredible performance against the Sharks, defending their line for sets on end to win 20-12 away. The Knights are coming off a bye, but their previous game was an impressive outing against Manly, winning by 10-points.
Both sides are at full fitness this week. While the Broncos are undoubtedly the better side, I think the Knights will benefit immensely from moving Ponga to fullback. He looked greatly improved at fullback and I think this Knights side will make the Broncos work hard for this win.
Bookmaker | Daniel’s Tip | Odds |
Knights +12.5 | $1.90 | |
Under 44.5 | $1.71 | |
Broncos team total under 26.5 | $1.95 |
Predicted Squads
Broncos: 1. Reece Walsh 2. Corey Oates 3. Kotoni Staggs 4. Herbie Farnworth 5. Selwyn Cobbo 6. Ezra Mam 7. Adam Reynolds 8. Thomas Flegler 9. Billy Walters 10. Payne Haas 11. Kurt Capewell 12. Jordan Riki 13. Pat Carrigan 14. Cory Paix 15. Brendan Piakua 16. Kobe Hetherington 17. Martin Tapau
Knights: 1. Kalyn Ponga 2. Dominic Young 3. Dane Gagai 4. Bradman Best 5. Greg Marzhew 6. Tyson Gamble 7. Jackson Hastings 8. Daniel Saifiti 9. Phoenix Crossland 10. Leo Thompson 11. Tyson Frizell 12. Lachlan Fitzgibbon 13. Adam Elliot 14. Kurt Mann 15. Jacob Saifiti 16. Mat Croker 17. Jack Hetherington
Roosters vs Panthers
Our final game on Saturday sees the Roosters hosting the Panthers. The Roosters are coming off another mediocre performance, edging the Bulldogs by 1 point, while the Panthers battled through a Cleary injury to beat the Dragons. The Roosters sit at a 5-5 record just outside the top 8 and will see this as a crucial game at home, while the Panthers sit on top spot.
While the Roosters have been underwhelming and the Panthers great, I think this will be a totally different Panthers outfit. Nathan Cleary is one of the best players in the comp and he will be missed, he controls their attack as well as their long kicking game. In front of a home crowd, with James Tedesco seeming to find his form, I think the Roosters will put up a good fight in a low scoring affair.
Bookmaker | Daniel’s Tip | Odds |
Either team by 6 or less | $2.75
Daniel Tupou to score a try | $2.22
Either team by 1-12 | $1.72 |
Predicted Squads
Roosters: 1. James Tedesco 2. Junior Pauga 3. Corey Allan 4. Billy Smith 5. Daniel Tupou 6. Joey Manu 7. Luke Keary 8. Jared Waerea-Hargreaves 9. Jake Turpin 10. Lindsay Collins 11. Egan Butcher 12. Nat Butcher 13. Sitili Tupouniua 14. Sandon Smith 15. Nathan Brown 16. Angus Crichton 17. Matt Lodge
Panthers: 1. Dylan Edwards 2. Sunia Turuva 3. Izack Tago 4. Stephen Crichton 5. Brian To’o 6. Jarome Luai 7. Jack Cogger 8. Moses Leota 9. Soni Luke 10. James Fisher-Harris 11. Scott Sorensen 12. Zac Hosking 13. Isaah Yeo 14. Liam Martin 15. Lindsay Smith 16. Spencer Leniu 17. Jaemon Salmon
Storm vs Sharks
Our only game on Sunday sees the Storm hosting the Sharks. Both sides are coming off a week to forget, with the Sharks losing by 8-points at home to the Broncos while the Storm lost by 25 points to the 14th place Cowboys. This is an important game for both sides as the winner will be in the top 4.
While they both sit on 7 wins from their 12 games, I think the Sharks have looked to be the better side this year. They have scored 61 more points and conceded 20 less, showing they are unlucky to be on the same points as the Storm. This one should be an extremely close affair at AAMI Park but with no Justin Olam for the Storm, I think the Sharks will find success down their right edge, and can see them taking this one.
Bookmaker | Daniel’s Tip | Odds |
Sharks to win | $2.40 | |
Sharks +2.5 First Half | $1.79
Sharks +4.5 | $1.87 |
Predicted Squads
Storm: 1. Nick Meaney 2. Will Warbrick 3. Reimis Smith 4. Grant Anderson 5. Xavier Coates 6. Cameron Munster 7. Jahrome Hughes 8. Tui Kamikamica 9. Harry Grant 10. Christian Welch 11. Trent Loiero 12. Eli Katoa 13. Josh King 14. Bronson Garlick 15. Aaron Pene 16. Nelson Asofa-Solomona 17. Tariq Sims
Sharks: 1. William Kennedy 2. Sione Katoa 3. Jesse Ramien 4. Siosifa Talakai 5. Ronaldo Mulitalo 6. Matt Moylan 7. Nicho Hynes 8. Oregon Kaufusi 9. Blayke Brailey 10. Royce Hunt 11. Briton Nikora 12. Teig Wilton 13. Dale Finucane 14. Cameron Mcinnes 15. Wade Graham 16. Jack Williams 17. Braden Hamlin-Uele
Bulldogs vs Eels
Our final game sees the Bulldogs hosting the Eels. The Bulldogs will be devastated after losing by 1-point to the Roosters while the Eels will be well rested after their bye. The Bulldogs are sitting 15th on the ladder while the Eels are 12th. The Eels are a side that should be making the top 8 and they’ll know that they need to start getting some wins on the board in order to do so. The big news is that Dylan Brown has been named to play, but we will have to wait until later to know if this for sure. The Eels will also be welcoming back Campbell-Gillard from injury, a big addition to their pack.
While the Eels haven’t been great this season, there is no doubt they are the far better outfit here and I think they will be desperate for a win here. I see the Eels winning this one.
Bookmaker | Daniel’s Tip | Odds |
Eels -8 | $1.90 | |
Eels -3.5 First Half | $1.74
Halftime/Fulltime Double – Eels/Eels | $1.70 |
Predicted Squads
Bulldogs: 1. Hayze Perham 2. Jacob Kiraz 3. Jake Averillo 4. Paul Alamoti 5. Josh Addo-Carr 6. Karl Oloapu 7. Matt Burton 8. Max King 9. Reed Mahoney 10. Tevita Pangai Junior 11. Jayden Okunborl 12. Jacob Preston 13. Harrison Edwards 14. Khaled Rajab 15. Kurtis Morrin 16. Chris Patolo 17. Corey Waddell
Eels: 1. Clint Gutherson 2. Maika Sivo 3. Will Penisini 4. Bailey Simonsson 5. Sean Russell 6. Dylan Brown 7. Mitchell Moses 8. Reagan Campbell-Gillard 9. Josh Hodgson 10. Junior Paulo 11. Bryce Cartwright 12. Andrew Davey 13. J’maine Hopgood 14. Ofahiki Ogden 15. Brendan Hands 16. Matt Doorey 17. Makahesi Makatoa
