About PuntCity
PuntCity really does stand out from the rest of the new betting sites thanks to the unique graphics on their website and app. It’s no secret that PuntCity is one of the small betting sites, but they are certainly worth checking out if you’re in the market for something a little different.
The theme they are going for with PuntCity has a very Vice City feel from GTA. The colours and other graphics used are unlike anything else I’ve seen before, so it’s pretty clear they are trying to stand out from the pack.
After downloading the app, I’m pleased to say it’s very user-friendly, just like their website. Everything is where you would expect it to be and it only takes a click or two for you to sort your bets out. No matter the market, racing or sports, it’s easy to find what you want. There’s a solid range of sports available, with a good variety of markets.
PuntCity is becoming more popular right around Australia, but I have noticed they are particularly popular in New South Wales and Victoria. In fact, I would even say that PuntCity is one of the fastest-growing Victorian betting sites. It’s important to note that the odds for PuntCity aren’t always as good as some of the bigger players in the game.
PuntCity Review Strengths and Weaknesses
I don’t think any bookie out there is completely perfect, there will always be positives and negatives for you to understand. So, for this PuntCity review, there is no better time than the present to go through all the pros and cons.
After reading all the PuntCity pros and cons, you can decide for yourself if they are the type of bookie you’d like to bet with. I’ve found that the pros will outweigh the cons most of the time, but you can see for yourself! Check out all the pros and cons of PuntCity below.

👨⚖️PuntCity Betting Verdict
In terms of the best betting sites, PuntCity is certainly on its way up there. You have to remember they are only new, launching in late 2023, so while they may not have everything that’s on offer from some of the bigger players in the market, those players have a decade (or two!) on PuntCity.
Their racing product is what I think they have focused on, meaning they have heaps of markets available and on the homepage, the majority of the prime real estate is taken up by racing. They offer a live chat function, so if you have any issues, you can get them resolved quickly and they also provide Same Race/ Game Multis for racing and sports.
PuntCity Features
After taking my time to go through PuntCity, I’ve found a few features that are worthy of a mention. PuntCity is just getting started so their offering is slightly limited when you compare to the more established bookies in the market, but they still have some features that draw new punters in.
Same Race/ Game Multis
If you’re looking to get more bang for your buck, then popping on a multi could be the perfect option. With PuntCity, you can place Same Race Multis for horse racing and Same Game Multis for sports. Same Game Multis are perfect if you’re interested in AFL or NRL betting.
Live Chat
Live chat is another great feature that is on offer by PuntCity, I found that not all the bookies on the Aussie market offer this service, or are only just now starting to offer this. So, for a new bookie like PuntCity to jump out of the gates offering live chat, it’s a great thing to see! Live chat means that any potential issues can be solved a little faster.
Unique Theme
I just love the theme they are going for, it is highly unique and instantly recognisable. I think it is a smart move by the marketing team as it will help to create brand recognition over the long term. The theme is consistent throughout PuntCity’s website and app.
User-Friendly App
PuntCity has one of the best betting apps thanks to all the user-friendly features they have incorporated. The app is quite intuitive and everything is where you would expect it to be. This app is available on Apple iOS and Android devices.
PuntCity Odds
One of the areas I think most new betting sites struggle with the most is their odds and PuntCity is no different. As their profit margin is quite thin, they can’t be offering hyper-competitive odds that we see some of the bigger bookies provide. After comparing the odds of some upcoming events, PuntCity is near the bottom in terms of competitiveness.
It’s not all doom and gloom though as this could change as PuntCity becomes more established in the market. Also, you never know when a bookie is going to offer some tasty odds on a particular market. This is why you should always shop around before finalising any bets.
PuntCity Markets
No matter if you’re a casual punter or someone who takes things a little more seriously and likes to deploy more complex betting strategies (like arbitrage betting), PuntCity has a solid range of markets available. They are by no means as good as some of the bigger bookies in Australia, but for a betting site that’s just getting started, it sure is a very good start!
They have a good range of horse racing betting markets, including Same Race Multis. PuntCity offers markets on all three racing codes and this includes both international and domestic races. Some of the specific markets available in racing include; blended odds, win/ place, quinella, exacta, trifecta and first four.
If there’s anywhere that I think PuntCity’s markets are lacking a little bit, it’s their range of sports on offer. If you are the kind of punter who’s into some of the more obscure sports or sports markets, PuntCity might not be the bookie for you.
I checked their website to see the range of sports they offer, which you can also find below (just keep in mind that it was a fairly quiet time of the year in terms of sports when I checked):
- American Football
- AFL
- Baseball
- Basketball
- Boxing
- Cricket
- Darts
- MMA
- NRL
- Rugby Union
- Soccer
- Tennis
PuntCity App
The thing that really makes me like the PuntCity app is the graphics. They are very unique to PuntCity and I don’t think I’ve ever seen anything quite like this. The theme is quite out there and I know it won’t appeal to everyone, but it certainly appeals to me!
The PuntCity app isn’t all superficial, there are also great functional aspects that punters will love. Most new betting apps follow a similar layout, which you’ll find is the case with PuntCity as well. This means there is a solid focus on navigation and ensuring it only takes a couple of clicks for users to place their bets.
The app showcases racing on its home screen, so if you want to see more sports-related events, you’ll need to toggle over to sports. It’s easy to scroll through the list of available markets and choose your stake to place your bets. As soon as you choose a market, it is automatically included in your betslip.
Something else that is very important for a betting app to have is speed. PuntCity is as fast as you could ask for, which is great for those bettors who like to leave things to the last minute. It’s not just me who thinks highly of the app either, I checked out their Apple App Store and Google Play Store ratings:
- Apple App Store rating - 4.1/5
- Google Play Store rating - 4.4/5
PuntCity Promotions
For a new bookie, PuntCity does have a reasonable amount of promotions. However, if you’re comparing them to some of the biggest players on the market, they are lacking in this area. It’s important to remember that no bookie, including PuntCity, can now offer any sort of promotion for signing up.
While there aren’t inducements for new customers, existing customers can choose from a range of promotions. If you want to see all the promotions that PuntCity has to offer, you’ll have to log into your account and then head on over to the “Promotions” page.
Some promotions that are visible on their website include; protest payout and best tote. With protest payout, if the horse you bet on wins the race, but then loses on an upheld protest, you’ll still be paid as a winner. With best tote, you’ll now receive the best return out of the three TAB dividends.
PuntCity Withdrawal
While it may not be the first thing you think of when considering all the factors before signing up to a new bookie, the range and speed of withdrawal methods are fairly important. After conducting my PuntCity review, it is clear to me that they are a new bookie, as their range of both deposit and withdrawal methods is quite limited.
If you’re looking for a bookie with the fastest withdrawal time, PuntCity probably isn’t the one. For withdrawals, the only method available is bank transfer and I usually find this method takes between one to two days to hit your bank account.
When it comes to deposit options, there are two available:
- Debit card
- Bank transfer
Unfortunately, those looking for more methods won’t find what they are looking for just yet with PuntCity. Things could change in the future though, remember that PuntCity is just starting out! If you’re looking for PayPal betting or other methods, your search continues for now.
PuntCity Customer Support
For PuntCity, you’ll find that there are two options available if you need to get in touch with the customer support team. I think that for a bookie who is only getting started, having two options is decent enough, especially when one of them is live chat! Check out more details about customer support options below:
- Live chat (through the website and app)
- Email (service@puntcity.com.au)
From a personal point of view, I like live chat as a method to reach out to customer support. I find that live chat is the easiest and quickest way to get any issues resolved. PuntCity’s customer support team is available seven days a week and you’ll see whether they are online or not when you look to initiate a conversion.
PuntCity Review FAQs
It’s not surprising to learn that people have many different questions about PuntCity, especially considering they are one of the newer bookies on the market. So, if you’ve still got some questions about this bookie, keep on reading below!

It’s pretty easy to place your bets with Punt City. After you’ve logged in, you just need to find the racing or sports event you wish to bet on. Yes, Punt City does provide live chat to their customers. Their customer support team is available seven days a week through live chat. You can also get in touch with the customer support team through email if the team is not online for live chat.
Conclusion & Final Thoughts
PuntCity is a solid bookie and has many things going for them. As expected with a newer bookie, there is still a bit of room for improvement, but the place where they are starting from is great. If they continue to build on their platform, I wouldn’t be surprised to see them making some serious waves in the industry.
Their website and app graphics help to ensure that PuntCity really stands out from the crowd and their app is as fast and user-friendly as you could hope for. They could do with adding in a wider range of sports and more payment options, to cater for a larger customer base, but all-in-all, there is plenty to like about PuntCity.
