NRL Best Tips and Multi Bet of the Weekend | Round 9

We are now 8 weeks deep into the NRL season and its continuing to deliver. This week we have more action-packed games, as the Broncos host the Rabbitohs, the Titans face Manly, looking to make up for their poor second half and the Roosters travel to New Zealand to face a depleted Warriors. 3 intriguing games with great value across all of them.

April 28th, 20:00, Suncorp Stadium

The Broncos host the Rabbitohs at Suncorp Stadium in what is undoubtedly our match of the round. Both sides are in impeccable form, sitting 1st and 4th respectively. The Broncos have been winning games on the back of their strong forward pack, combined with attacking prowess of Reece Walsh and the poise of their halves. The Rabbitohs have been winning games on the back of their superstars Cody Walker and Latrell Mitchell, who have both been an absolute nightmare to defend against.

This week the Broncos have a tough ask, losing the competitions premier front rower in Payne Haas as well as their number 6 Ezra Mam, who has been incredible for them. Haas has been running almost 200m, throwing over 2.5 offloads and making over 5 tackle busts a game. I can’t see where this missing output will come from as well as the 10 tries that Ezra Mam has been involved in this season. I think the Bunnies at almost full strength should be too good and that’s why I am taking the Rabbitohs to win @1.77 on TopSport.

April 29th, 17:30, 4 Pines Park

The Sea Eagles host the Titans on Saturday with both sides coming off very questionable performances last week. The Sea Eagles scraped out a win against the Tigers, however, Tom Trbojevic didn’t look fit and came off before the end of the game. The Titans on the other hand, produced an unbelievable first 30minutes, going 26-0 up, and then producing one of the biggest chokes in NRL history, going on to lose 28-26.

Despite the Titans’ defensive woes, their attack looked very sharp, in particular Brimson on return who had 3 line breaks. This Manly backline is changed with Garrick at center for Brad Parker and uncertainty surrounding the fitness of Tom Trbojevic. The Titans are in with a great chance here, and there should be points on offer. The Titans score a whopping 54% of their tries on the left and this combined with the poor defense of Jason Saab has led me to take Khan-Pereira aytime try scorer @2.20 on Bet365.

April 30th, 14:00, Mt Smart Stadium

The Warriors host the Roosters on Sunday in New Zealand, both coming off close Anzac Day games. Both sides have a short 5-day turnaround and will no doubt be fatigued after grueling games. The Warriors will be looking for revenge against the Roosters, who edged them 20-12 in Round 2, in what was quite a disappointing performance from the Roosters.

While the Roosters weren’t great on Tuesday, they will take a lot of confidence out of the win. The Roosters are starting to find some form, but are lacking consistency, however, as top players like Crichton and Tupouniua return from injury, they should only get better. On the other hand, the Warriors are missing so many key players, including their fullback, five-eighth and lock. A new look Warriors side is likely to struggle in both attack and defense, while this Roosters side should start to click with Joey Manu, Luke Keary and James Tedesco all seeming to find form last week.
