NRL Multi Bet of the Weekend

Round 26 is in the books and it took no prisoner! The Cowboys outclassed the Dolphins, while the Broncos edged the Raiders and the Sea Eagles thrashed the Bulldogs. Sadly, we missed out first 2 legs last week, but we are back this week with MyBettingAustralia’s NRL Multi of the week and we have found some value across Betting Sites on a try scorer for the Storm, the Dolphins and the Titans.

Brisbane Broncos vs Melbourne Storm

August 31st 19:50, Suncorp Stadium

For our first leg of the multi of the week, we look to the Broncos hosting the Storm. This game is a tough one to predict, with both team lists practically unrecognisable. With the Storm locked into a top 4 spot, they have decided to rest all their stars for finals, whereas the Broncos have decided that the Minor Premiership is less important than giving their stars a much-needed rest for finals. With the new look teams, I expect both sides to be disorganized in defense. Both teams still have firepower across their backline, particularly the Storm, who have Papenhuyzen, Olam and Warbrick to name a few.

The Storm tend to favour their right edge, while the Broncos left edge is their weaker defensively. This one is bound to be a bit of a shootout and with the creativity of Papenhuyzen and the power of Warbrick, I expect him to score. That’s why I am taking Wabrick anytime try scorer @2.30 on Bet365.

Dolphins vs Warriors

September 2nd 15:00, Suncorp Stadium

For our second leg of the multi of the week, we look to the Dolphins hosting the Warriors. The Dolphins have struggled recently, currently on a 6-game losing streak, whereas the Warriors hold a 7-game winning streak. Although the Dolphins have lost 6 in a row, this includes two 1-point losses and a 2-point loss. They have been very unlucky to have this losing streak, whereas the Warriors have looked shaky recently. With the Warriors securing their spot in the top 4, they have decided to rest the majority of their stars to be fresh for finals.

The Warriors will be without Shaun Johnson, Nicoll-Klokstad, Harris, Metcalf, Fonua-Blake and Egan. These are the most instrumental leaders for the Warriors and they make up the Warriors spine. With a completely new spine and nothing to play for I expect the Warriors to struggle. The Dolphins are looking to round out a season in which they struggled in the latter half, yet still far exceeded expectations. I think they will want to end a great season on a high note and that’s why I am taking the Halftime/Fulltime Double – Dolphin/Dolphins @2.15 on PlayUp.

Gold Coast Titans vs Canterbury Bulldogs

September 3rd 14:00, Cbus Super Stadium

For our final leg of the multi we see the Titans hosting the Bulldogs. Both sides are riding a wave of bad form, with the Titans losing their last 4 in a row and the Bulldogs losing their last 3. The Bulldogs were absolutely torn to shreds last week against a Manly side down on players. Koula and DCE had a field day, breaking the line at will. For the Titans, I see Brimson having similar success, as he loves to follow through the middle, always ready for a late offload. This Bulldogs side lack any defensive strength and struggle to get much going in attack.

The Titans pack is one of the stronger packs in the competition, led by Tino, Fifita and Fotuaika. This pack should easily outmuscle a Bulldogs pack down on confidence and the lethal left edge of Fifita, Kelly and Khan-Pereira should have lots of success. The Titans score a whopping 55% of their tries down that edge, the most dominant edge of any team in the competition. The Titans should be too much to handle for the Bulldogs here and that’s why I am taking the Hafltime/Fulltime Double – Titans/Titans @1.70 on PlayUp.
