Round 25 is in the books and once again it delivered! The Sharks obliterated the Cowboys, while the Tigers edged the Dolphins in a thriller and the Storm limped over the line against the Dragons. Sadly, we missed out first 2 legs last week, but we are back this week with MyBettingAustralia’s NRL Multi of the week and we have found some value across Betting Sites on the Cowboys, Broncos and the Bulldogs vs Sea Eagles game.
NRL Best Tips and Multi Bet of the Weekend | Round 26
Dolphins vs North Queensland Cowboys
August 25th 20:00, Suncorp Stadium
For our first leg of the multi of the week, we look to the Dolphins hosting the Cowboys. The Dolphins are coming off a brutal 1-point loss, while the Cowboys are coming off a disappointing 20-point loss to the Sharks. Coming into this one, the Cowboys absolutely need a win, sitting just point difference outside the top 8, with 2 wins very likely to result in them playing finals footy. While the Cowboys were very poor last week, they have too many attacking weapons in Drinkwater, Dearden and Robson just to name a few.
The Dolphins come into this one holding the worst losing streak in the league, currently at 5. This has largely been due to their lack of depth and injuries, notably Marshall-King and Gilbert. Despite looking incredible early in the season, they have suffered lately, and with the dangerous Cowboys needing a win, I am taking Halftime/Fulltime Double - Cowboys/Cowboys @1.72 on PlayUp.
Canberra Raiders vs Brisbane Broncos
August 26th 19:35, GIO Stadium
For our second leg of the multi, we look to the Raiders hosting the Broncos. The Raiders are coming off a 12-point victory against the Bulldogs, whereas the Broncos will be well rested after having the bye. While the Raiders did beat the Bulldogs and sit in 6th spot, they did not look great and have not in recent weeks. The Raiders have had an innate ability to win close games, with last week being their biggest victory.
The Broncos on the other hand have played tremendous footy all season. They sit in 2nd place, with a 6-game win streak and have won 9 of their past 10. The Broncos have also been preparing for this game for an extra week and will be desperate for a win as it is needed if they want the minor premiership. Even if the Raiders are at their best, I think the Broncos are better. That’s why I am taking the Halftime/Fulltime Double - Broncos/Broncos @1.80 on PlayUp.
Canterbury Bulldogs vs Manly Sea Eagles
August 27th 14:00, Accor Stadium
For our final leg of the multi we see the Bulldogs hosting the Sea Eagles. The Bulldogs are coming off a 12-point loss to the Raiders, while the Sea Eagles are coming off a 7-point loss to the Warriors. Neither side have too much to play for in this one, with both being out of contention for finals footy but safe from the wooden spoon. Despite losing last week, the Bulldogs looked much better, especially Matt Burton who terrorized the Raiders. The Bulldogs have struggled with injuries all season and finally seem to have a fit team with Kikau, Burton and Sexton all playing.
The Sea Eagles on the other hand have struggled with injuries recently and have now additionally lost Garrick. With both Tom and Garrick out, the Sea Eagles will struggle to find a fullback with experience, and I think it will impact their style of play greatly. I think the Bulldogs are a real chance to win this one and that’s why I am taking the Bulldogs +6.5 @1.90 on PlayUp
