NRL Best Tips and Multi Bet of the Weekend | Round 16

Round 15 is done and dusted and what a round it was with players fighting it out for Origin selection! We had a week to forget with our multi, but we are back this week with MyBettingAustralia’s NRL Multi of the week and we have found some value across Betting Sites on the Cowboys, the Storm’s right edge and the Sharks.

June 16th, 20:00, Queensland Country Bank Stadium

For our first leg of the multi of the week, we look to the Cowboys hosting the Panthers. The Cowboys will have a lot of energy and confidence coming into this one, having the bye last week and beating Melbourne 45-20 the week before. The Panthers sit on top of the ladder, winning their last 5 games. However, this week is not a regular Panthers outfit, missing Crichton, Luai, To’o, Martin and Yeo to Origin with Cleary being out injured. The Cowboys are also missing troops with Cotter, Nanai, Holmes, Taulagi and Robson all out for Origin duty yet have star enforcer Jason Taumalolo returning.

While the Cowboys are missing a number of players, their spine remains intact aside from Robson who is replaced by the experienced Granville. The Panthers on the other hand are missing both their starting halves as well as Yeo, who does so much of the ball playing for Panthers. Combined with the fact the Cowboys are at home, where they have a 5-2 record this year, despite sitting in 14th spot, I think they have enough to get over the line here. June 17th, 19:35, Campbelltown Sports Stadium

For our second leg of the multi we look to the Tigers hosting the Storm. The Tigers suffered a tough loss to the Titans, with them sitting in 16th spot, while the Storm sit in 3rd spot after thrashing the Sharks. This week the Tigers are down a number of key players, with Koroisau fracturing his jaw, Brooks tearing his hamstring and Utoikamanu being a surprise pick for the NSW Blues. These are 3 key injuries to an already suffering side. The Storm are without Welch, Katoa, Munster, Grant, Coates and Olam this week, a sizable list of outs.

With all the outs, this game is a tough one to predict but we have found some value in the try scorer’s department. The Tigers concede a whopping 43% of their tries down their left edge. The Storm have outs on the left side of Munster, Coates and Olam, leading me to believe, that Hughes will have a dominant role in this game, favoring the right side. For this reason, I can’t pass up Storm right winger, Will Warbrick to score a try @2.16 on TopSport.

June 18th, 16:05, PointsBet Stadium 

For our final leg of the multi we see the Sharks hosting the Bulldogs. The Sharks will be looking to bounce back after being embarrassed by the Storm, while the Bulldogs are in need of a win, sitting in 15th spot. Perhaps the biggest news this week is that Brad Fitler has decided to drop Nicho Hynes from Origin in favour of Eels halfback Mitchell Moses. The Sharks despite sitting in 5th position on the ladder, lose nobody to State of Origin while the Bulldogs lose Josh Addo-Carr. 

Nicho Hynes will no doubt feel hard done by and I am expecting a big performance from the reigning Dally M medalist who has struggled the past 2 weeks. The Sharks are an absolute powerhouse team, currently holding a 6-1 record against sides not in the top 8. I am taking the Sharks -12.5 @1.90 on PlayUp.
