NRL Multi Bet of the Weekend

Magic Round is over and what a week it was! We had some great moments such as the Tigers winning their second game on the trot, all four Queensland teams winning and the Rabbitohs putting on a clinic against the Storm. We are back this week with MyBettingAustralia’s NRL Multi of the week and we have found some value across Betting Sites on the Broncos against the Storm, the Panthers against a struggling Roosters and the high flying Rabbitohs against the Tigers.

Melbourne Storm vs Brisbane Broncos

May 11th, 19:50, AAMI Park

Kicking off the round we have a tremendous fixture as the Storm host the Broncos. The Storm have struggled to find rhythm this year, currently sitting in 6th position, while the Broncos have gotten off to a dream start, winning 8 out of 10 games, currently holding top spot. The Broncos are a completely changed side to previous years, with their strong forward pack led by Payne Haas and Patrick Carrigan laying a great platform for Reece Walsh, Adam Reynolds and Ezra Mam to run the attack.

The Broncos have scored the most points of any side this year, averaging an incredible 26.6 points per game while only conceding 17 points per game. The Storm have been very solid in defense, conceding only 4 more points than Brisbane (In one less game) but have really struggled to get their attack going, scoring only 20.2 points per game, the second lowest in the top 8. While defense is key to winning premierships, the only way to beat this Brisbane side is to score a lot of points which I think the Storm will struggle to do. To be safe here I am going to take the Broncos with a 12-point head start @1.33 on Bet365.

Penrith Panthers vs Sydney Roosters

May 12th, 20:00, BlueBet Stadium

The Panthers host the Roosters on Friday Night in what should be one of the games of the round. Both sides are sitting at a 5-4 record, while the Panthers are 3rd and the Roosters are 8th, showing just how close this season is. The Panthers are coming off an 18-6 victory over the Warriors at Magic Round while the Roosters failed to perform, losing 20-6 to the Cowboys.

Both sides haven’t been at their absolute best, but I think there are better days ahead for Penrith. The Panthers have looked a little flat in attack, but this has largely been due to Cleary battling a groin injury, preventing him from kicking goals and no doubt hindering his general game. The Roosters have struggled to find consistency this season, unable to settle on a halves pairing. The Roosters have really struggled in attack, with only the Tigers scoring less points than them so far. I think the Roosters once again will struggle against the best defense in the competition and I see this one being a comfortable Panthers victory. I am taking the Panthers -5.5 @1.90 on Playup.

South Sydney Rabbitohs vs Wests Tigers

May 13th, 15:00, Accor Stadium

Our first game on Saturday sees the Rabbitohs hosting the Tigers. The Rabbitohs have been in tremendous form this season, winning their last 5 games, taking out the Broncos, Panthers and Storm. This has been on the back of their firepower in their backline, with Campbell Graham and Latrell Mitchell already combining for 19 tries, while Alex Johnston has been breaking the line at will, thanks to the ballplaying of Cody Walker.

The Tigers on the other hand have found some form of late, winning their last 2 games after being winless through their first 7. While the Tigers are certainly showing signs of life, this Rabbitohs side is far too good for them across the park and it should be an easy victory in front of their home crowd. I am taking the Rabbitohs Halftime/Fulltime double @1.41 on BoomBet.
