NRL Best Tips and Multi Bet of the Weekend | Round 9
Canterbury Bulldogs vs. Wests Tigers
May 4th, 16:00 AEDT, Accor Stadium, Sydney
The Canterbury Bulldogs will be returning to action two weeks after their dominant victory against the Knights. They will welcome the Wests Tigers, who had a much shorter recovery time following their humbling defeat to the Broncos.
As things stand, it’s hard to root for Benji Marshall’s men. They are on a three-match losing streak and their thrashing against the title aspirants Broncos did no favour to lift their spirits. Bookmaker bet365 offers healthy odds for the home side to cover the -6.5 spread and we believe the Bulldogs will do so with ease.
Gold Coast Titans vs. Melbourne Storm
May 4th, 18:30 AEDT, Cbus Super Stadium, Robina
The Titans had been on an upward trajectory despite their winless run until their recent match. Their continuous drive to improve finally proved fruitful as they stunned the Warriors on the road. Can the Gold Coast outfit bring a high-flying Melbourne Storm side to the ground in front of the raucous Cbus Super Stadium crowd?
Although tipping the Titans for a straight-up victory over the Storm is a tall order, we reckon they'll put up a good fight and at least cover the spread. While Melbourne have been excellent this season, they are not invulnerable and have just lost star Xavier Coates. The Titans should produce another spirited display with home advantage and make this a close one.
Newcastle Knights vs. New Zealand Warriors
May 5th, 15:00 AEDT, McDonald Jones Stadium, Newcastle
Two teams licking their wounds will lock horns for a NRL Sunday spectacular at the McDonald Jones Stadium on Saturday. The 12th placed Warriors will travel to Newcastle to play the Knights, who will be hoping to leapfrog their visitors in the NRL points table with a much-needed win.
The Warriors won the reverse fixture earlier this season. NRL betting sites consider the Kiwis to be favourites as they are the more stable of the two sides. While the away side have lost two of their last five games, the home team will be playing to avoid a three-match slump. Back the Kiwis to bounce back here, just.
