NRL week eight produced some heavily one-sided matches for the first time this year, alongside some tight ones. The Canterbury Bulldogs will be returning to action two weeks after their dominant victory against the Knights. They will welcome the Wests Tigers, who had a much shorter recovery time following their humbling defeat to the Broncos.   

As things stand, it’s hard to root for Benji Marshall’s men. They are on a three-match losing streak and their thrashing against the title aspirants Broncos did no favour to lift their spirits. Can the Gold Coast outfit bring a high-flying Melbourne Storm side to the ground in front of the raucous Cbus Super Stadium crowd?

While Melbourne have been excellent this season, they are not invulnerable and have just lost star Xavier Coates. Two teams licking their wounds will lock horns for a NRL Sunday spectacular at the McDonald Jones Stadium on Saturday. The 12th placed Warriors will travel to Newcastle to play the Knights, who will be hoping to leapfrog their visitors in the NRL points table with a much-needed win. 

The Warriors won the reverse fixture earlier this season. NRL betting sites consider the Kiwis to be favourites as they are the more stable of the two sides.
