Last weekend brought plenty of tight encounters in the NRL. Will it be the same this weekend, or can a few blowouts be expected? We dive into the latest odds from the best betting sites, and show how you can generate a more than 11x return with a multi bet on the Warriors, Dolphins and Broncos in round seven of the NRL.
NRL Best Tips and Multi Bet of the Weekend | Round 7
St. George-Illawarra Dragons vs. New Zealand Warriors
April 19th, 19:00 AEDT, WIN Stadium, Wollongong
Last weekend saw the New Zealand Warriors get out of jail with a 22-all draw against the Sea Eagles in a match they probably deserved to lose. The Dragons, on the other hand, impressed with their third win of the season, putting away the Tigers 24-12.
We’re confident that this round, the Warriors will make the most of their close escape and put the Dragons to the sword. Bookmaker GetSetBet is offering healthy odds for them to cover the -6.5 handicap, and we say this is the best way to start our multi this weekend.
Parramatta Eels vs. Redcliffe Dolphins
April 19th, 21:00 AEDT, TIO Stadium, Darwin
In 2023, the Dolphins raced through their opening three matches of the season undefeated, before running into the Broncos in round four. This year, they’ve pulled off a similar trick, winning three of their first four before losing to their big brothers in Brisbane. Unlike 2023, we say they’ll bounce back strong here with a solid performance in round seven.
While it’s a big ask to pick the Dolphins to win outright against the Eels, we expect they’ll at least cover the spread. Parramatta have been ropey this season, while Redcliffe have consistently punched above their weight. Win or lose, things should be close on Friday night.
Brisbane Broncos vs. Canberra Raiders
April 20th, 20:350 AEDT, Suncorp Stadium, Brisbane
Saturday night brings a great contest as the Raiders head to Suncorp to take on the Broncos. Canberra come into this one off the back of a close call against cellar-dwellers the Titans, while Brisbane handily put away the Dolphins.
The last three times these sides have met, the margin has been 11 points or less. Brisbane at home, and with Reece Walsh back, should be too much for a patchy Raiders outfit. Though, without Adam Reynolds, it’s tough to see this one being a blowout. NRL betting sites are offering good odds for this to be 1-12 in favour of the Broncos, which we say is a great bet.
