When it comes to big hitting in the world of cricket, very few competitions attract punters and international betting sites in the way that the IPL does.

The Indian Premier League began back in 2008 and has been setting the blueprint for T20 cricket worldwide ever since and the 2024 edition of the tournament should be a cracker.

With high octane action in every single fixture and the best batters, bowlers, and fielders facing off, the Indian Premier League never disappoints for even the most casual of cricket fan.

The 2024 edition of the IPL has once again recruited the big names from every corner of the globe and all 10 franchises in the league will believe that they have what it takes to win the trophy this season.

Packed grounds across India are guaranteed, with a hectic game schedule playing into the hands of cricket punters and betting apps and it should be another incredible competition, as the best T20 stars in the world do battle.

Stopping the Super Kings

In 2023, no side had the answer to the juggernaut that was the Chennai Super Kings, who were led with aplomb by their talismanic captain MS Dhoni.

The Super Kings came good when it mattered last season, picking up their 5th IPL title, to draw them level with the Mumbai Indians at the top of the all-time winners list.

With the likes of Moeen Ali, Devon Conway and Ravi Jadeja in their side, the Super Kings look to be awash with talent again in 2024 and it will take something special to stop them.

More needed from Mumbai

2020 was the last time that the Mumbai Indians managed to lift the IPL title, something that they will be desperate to avenge here in 2024.

They look to be a side in transition once more, following a relatively underwhelming draft and they will be heavily reliant on their domestic stars in their pursuit of glory in 2024.

Captain Hardik Pandya is a special talent, and he along with the likes of Ishan Kishan and Rohit Sharma will need to produce the goods here for the Indians.

Best of the rest

In a competition like the IPL, with so many quality teams and players involved, value and surprises can always be found for all cricketing punters and betting sites.

The Rajasthan Royals are a side often overlooked in IPL cricket but once again in 2024 they have a side capable of mixing it with the big boys from the off.

Elsewhere, 2022 champions Gujarat Lions are also ready to shine once more this season, having heavily invested in their playing staff.

The 2024 IPL promises to be the typical cricketing spectacle it always is, with all of the biggest hitters in the game in action.

Beating the Chennai Super Kings is the challenge for the 9 remaining franchises, and it promises to be a fascinating couple of months of cricket in India.
