  • The Kansas City Chiefs won their second successive Super Bowl title.
  • Chiefs overcame the 49ers 25-22 in an overtime epic.

Super Bowl LVIII was always going to be the perfect finale to an NFL season quite like no other and so it proved.

Held in Las Vegas for the first time, with Usher producing a memorable half time show and with Taylor Swift watching on, it was an event that captured the hearts and minds of punters and international betting sites alike.

On the field, an epic encounter ended in overtime, with the Kansas City Chiefs coming out on top once more.

Seldom in the history of the NFL has the eyes of the sporting world been on the Super Bowl more so than it was for Super Bowl LVIII and the players on the field certainly put on a show.

Undoubtedly the two best teams in the NFL, both the Kansas City Chiefs and the San Francisco 49ers were very worthy finalists and the closeness of the scoreline is reflected in how well matched the two sides are.

Of course, there has to be a winner and the Kansas City Chiefs held their nerve in overtime, to clinch back-to-back NFL Super Bowl crowns.

Mentality Monsters

Incredibly, the Kansas City Chiefs had been billed as the underdogs with NFL betting sites for each of their last three playoff games.

For those on the field, that is unimportant, but it is representative of just how hard the Kansas City Chiefs are to beat, especially at the business end of the NFL season.

Once more here in Super Bowl LVIII, the Chiefs found themselves behind, with a last-gasp field goal sending the game into overtime and they came good when it mattered once more.

Taylor in attendance

Much of the buildup off the field in Las Vegas surrounded Taylor Swift, who had a mere 17-hour flight to catch in order to watch her partner Travis Kelce take to the field for the Chiefs.

Plenty of pundits weighed in on the debate, with Swift completing her performance in Tokyo before flying into Vegas for the showpiece event.

Complete with a public display of affection for Kelce once he and his Chiefs side had lifted yet another Super Bowl crown, the furor surrounding Taylor Swift and the NFL has transcended far beyond punters and online betting platforms.

Chiefs embarking on a dynasty

As is always the way in Super Bowl finals, the losing team is often overlooked and for the San Francisco 49ers, another superb season has ended without success.

Yet, their loss is of course the Chiefs gain, and they became the first team since the New England Patriots back in 2003 & 2004 to win back-to-back Super Bowl titles.

Reaching their 4th Super Bowl in 5 years, the Chiefs, led by the supreme Patrick Mahomes look to be ready to shape the NFL world for many seasons to come.

Few sporting events can compete with the Super Bowl when it comes to global attention and Super Bowl LVIII from Las Vegas certainly didn’t disappoint.

It was the Kansas City Chiefs who came out on top, edging out the San Francisco 49ers and it was a contest that will live long in the memory for all NFL fans.
