David Warner refuses to slink into the background

David Warner has been a pillar within the Australian Test side for over a decade but has now opted to call time on his stellar career. 

The 2023/24 series against Pakistan will be his last and Warner started it in style, registering 164 on Day 1 of the first test in Perth. 

Few batters in the history of Test cricket have enjoyed the mental and physical battle as much as David Warner and at the ripe old age of 37, he continues to be a talisman for Australian cricket.
