  • There will be 24 races in the 2024 F1 season.
  • Red Bull and Max Verstappen have dominated proceedings for the past 3 seasons.
  • Verstappen is chasing a 4th consecutive world title this term.
  • Ferrari, Mercedes, and McLaren look to be the key challengers to Red Bull’s crown.

With the testing period in full swing, punters at both domestic and international betting sites are taking note of the comings and goings in the world of Formula 1, ahead of the 2024 campaign.

Having won the title in each of the past three years, Max Verstappen looks to be the man to catch in 2024 and it promises to be an enthralling season.

Very few sports can compete with Formula 1 when it comes to global glitz and glamour and once again in 2024, the F1 merry-go-round is on the starting grid.

With the 20 fastest drivers in the world, ready to meet in 24 different worldwide locations, it should be another incredible campaign – with every driver on the grid looking to knock Dutchman Max Verstappen off his perch.

That may be a task that is much easier said than done. However, with Verstappen and Red Bull having an ominous look about them already in 2024 but there is sure to be plenty of thrills and spills along the way.

Four in a row?

Max Verstappen may have picked up his first world title in 2021 under a cloud of acrimonious circumstances but ever since, the Dutchman has completely dominated the sport.

Cruising to the world title in both 2022 and 2023, Red Bull and Verstappen have forged a prodigious partnership, which very few teams have been able to compete with.

Question marks over Christian Horner’s role within the franchise are unhelpful at this time of the season but Verstappen remains in charge of his own destiny on the track, and he will be the hot favourite to clinch a 4th consecutive F1 world title.

Hamilton’s Mercedes last hurrah!

It has been an off-season like no other in the world of Formula 1, with the news that Lewis Hamilton will be leaving Mercedes, to join direct rivals Ferrari, rocking punters and online betting sites to the core.

The 7-time world champion will however race for Mercedes this season, with his Ferrari deal to start in 2025, adding a fascinating narrative to the campaign ahead.

Mercedes haven’t looked to be too impressive in pre-season testing and Hamilton has been vocal in his discontent with the car, but regardless of how this season pans out, Hamilton will always be a legend within the Mercedes organisation.

Racing for second place?

Whilst no F1 fan would want to fully accept it, the reality of the current status within the sport is that Max Verstappen and Red Bull are far and away the best driver and car partnership on the grid.

Consequently, most teams and their drivers will be locked in for a battle for second place on the grid in most races and at the end of the season.

The aforementioned Lewis Hamilton and Mercedes partnership will want to finish strongly, whilst Lando Norris and Oscar Piastri are an exciting young team at McLaren and Ferrari will be hoping Charles Leclerc and Carlos Sainz can come good.

The 2024 F1 season is on the not-too-distant horizon, and it promises to be another enthralling campaign for all punters and online betting sites.

Max Verstappen will be the hot favourite to make it 4 F1 world titles in a row but with 24 races in prospect across the globe, it should be compelling viewing for all.
