NBA Midweek Tips and Best Bets - Oct 25th & 26th 2023

NBA action is finally back, following a long off-season which included Canada clinching the FIBA World Cup. The regularity of the NBA however will be welcome news for punters and online betting sites alike, with the packed NBA calendar presenting plenty of basketball betting opportunities. 
Defending champions Denver Nuggets take on to LA Lakers in a fascinating opening game matchup, whilst Phoenix Suns @ Golden State Warriors and Boston Celtics @ New York Knicks are also mouth-watering curtain raisers.

The 2023 NBA season was all about the Denver Nuggets, with Michael Malone’s side managing to break their 47-season duck and finally clinch the NBA title. 
Whilst it was hardly a surprise outcome, the Nuggets came of age last term and the improvements within the squad have been noted by punters and betting sites alike. 
Moving into 2024, the Nuggets will once again be one of the sides to beat in the race for the Championship but they have a tough opening encounter with the LA Lakers.

Calling a winner in this one is tough, as both sides have had relatively sedate off-seasons but it does look set to be a high scoring encounter at the Ball Arena.

When it comes to attacking talent in the NBA, very few sides can compete with either the Golden State Warriors or the Phoenix Suns. Both sides have been prolific in recent seasons, putting points on the board with ease and terrifying opposition defences. 
For Golden State, the 2024 season presents a fresh opportunity, with plenty of ins and outs in the squad in recent times and they will be eager to hit the ground running here. The Phoenix Suns meanwhile are a side that have a long-standing NBA title duck of their own and how they would love to crack that in 2024. Gauging where both of these sides are at so early in the season is no easy task, but Golden State Warriors are a good side at home, and they should sneak over the line in this one. 

26th October – Madison Square Garden, New York

One of the fiercest rivalries in the NBA is reignited once more on the opening day of the 2024 season, as the Boston Celtics travel to the New York Knicks. 
The Knicks just cannot seem to get the formula right currently, despite their impressive roster and 2024 looks to be another season of rebuilding at Madison Square Garden. For the Boston Celtics meanwhile, the 2024 campaign presents another chance for them to add to their 17 NBA Championships, with their last coming in 2008. 
With so many quality sides in both divisions this term, the Boston Celtics could have their work cut out again in 2024 but they are being well backed with plenty of punters at both domestic and international betting sites. 

There is never any love lost between New York and Boston, but the Celtics should get off to a winning start here.
