Best Multibet Tips of the Weekend | 25/01/25

The quality racing continues at Aussie betting sites on Saturday and it should be great to see some of the best horses in the land go around the track. Magnatear has my caught my eye in Race 2 at Randwick. Meanwhile, in the 2nd multi leg, I'm backing Claim The Crown to be in the mix in Race 4 at Randwick. Then, the Saturday multi will conclude with Puntin in Race 6 at Randwick. At Randwick, the track is rated a good 4, should be nice for racing. I'm punting on a few horses to get the job done in this Saturday multi bet!

Magnatear will be looking to make it back to back wins when he heads to Randwick Racecourse on Saturday afternoon. He won at Wyong a few weeks ago over the distance of 1600m and a soft track. The conditions at Randwick are looking nice with a good track and that should suit him too. He has placed or won in 6 of 8 starts when he runs on these tracks.

He’s also raced well at this track before and has been unlucky not to get a win. He’s finished 2nd twice and 3rd once. His latest run at the track was back in December when he finished 2nd over 1400m. I think he’ll enjoy being back here and the 3 Barrier should help him get to lead, where he likes it.

I think Claim The Crown offers some good value for this Saturday multi. He’s in great form too. Last race, he was at this track and came 2nd over 2000m, just a length behind the winner. He usually likes the 2000m trip and the conditions should suit him on Saturday.

He’ll be presented with a good track and his record on these types of tracks is decent. He has 4 wins in 21 starts and has placed or won in just under 50% of his races on good tracks. Jockey Harry Davies has booked his 3rd run on board this gelding and the pair ran 2nd at Randwick in December. So they’ll look to get their first win together this Saturday.

Puntin is 2 from 2 in his short career so far, let’s hope he can make it 3 straight wins when he heads to the Randwick track on Saturday. His latest win was at Moruya on 06/01/2025 over 1425m. The track was soft, and he carried 56.5kg with jockey Ashley Morgan in the saddle. Ash will be back in the saddle this Saturday too.

Before that win, he won on debut at Nowra over 1200m on a good track. The Randwick track conditions this Saturday should be similar so that bodes well for Puntin. Should be in the mix for a place but I think he can win this as well.
