Eagle Farm plays host to a good day of racing on 23rd December.

Whilst racing from New South Wales, Melbourne and Western Australia has dominated the recent programme, Queensland is laying its claim at Eagle Farm this weekend.

With 10-excellent races in prospect, there is plenty for punters to get on board with at the biggest and best online bookmakers.

Race 3: Weigall Tiger

The Ladbrokes City to Surf Plate from Eagle Farm on Saturday has a stellar field assembled and there are plenty of punting opportunities out there with all Aussie bookmakers

Topping the betting is Weigall Tiger, a fiercely quick horse that has won all of its last 4 outings at Eagle Farm and who has struggled to find a suitable competitor in recent weeks.

In a contest over 1600m, the only slight question mark will be the distance for Weigall Tiger and whilst there is some decent competition, the hot favourite should come good for connections here.

Tip: Weigall Tiger to win the race @ $1.55 (TopSport)

Race 6: Storm Boy

Gai Waterhouse and Adrian Bott have another huge hope here at Eagle Farm, as Storm Boy looks to fulfill a huge amount of early career promise.

The 2-year-old showed a clean pair of heels to the field at Rosehill Gardens in victory last time out and whilst this is a step up in class, Storm Boy comes from seriously good stock.

Challengers assemble in the form of Astapor and Poster Girl, but Storm Boy should be way too hot to handle for the field here.

Tip: Storm Boy to win the race @ $1.41 (GetSetBet)

Race 7: Acquitted

There is A$200,000 in the prize pot in race 7 and it is Irish flyer Acquitted that is firmly the horse to beat.

Aged 7, Acquitted has been around the block – both in Australia and across the UK and Irish racing scene and it is a horse that carries plenty of potential.

A solid win at Doomben last time out was a standout result in recent times and whilst there are a few that could mount a challenge, Acquitted is the stand out offering for punters and bookmakers in this one.

Tip: Acquitted to win the race @ $2.30 (Bet365)
