Best 2024 Australian Open Multi Bet This Weekend

The middle weekend of the year’s first Grand Slam is here. Already, the 2024 Australian Open has seen its field reduced significantly, with big names like Holger Rune and Elena Rybakina on flights home. As we head towards the round of 16, here’s how to profit from multi betting on the weekend’s action.

Iga Swiatek vs Linda Noskova

Melbourne Park, 20th January 2024, time TBC

Match to be under 18.5 games @ 1.72 (bet365)

Considering Iga Swiatek is the number one seed at the 2024 Australian Open, the Pole has had a tough draw so far. Across her opening two rounds, Swiatek has been required to defeat a former Australian Open champion (Sofia Kenin, who won in 2020) as well as a former finalist (Danielle Collins, finalist in 2022).

The 22-year-old barely escaped against Collins, coming back from 4-1 down in the deciding set. However, we say the challenging start will have done her good. Swiatek herself shared about the silver lining of a tough draw getting rid of any rust early, so the top seed should be at her best against Linda Noskova on Saturday.

While 19-year-old Noskova has done well to get this far, it would be no surprise to see her run out of steam here. This week she upset number 31 seed Marie Bouzkova and outlasted McCartney Kessler in a three-setter. For a teenager playing in her first Australian Open, it would be understandable if another big performance against the world’s best player was simply a step too far. Expect Swiatek to handle the Czech rapidly in under 18.5 games.

Hubert Hurkacz vs Ugo Humbert

Melbourne Park, 20th January 2024, time TBC

Total sets – four sets @ 2.50 (bet365)

Both Hubert Hurkacz and Ugo Humbert have played eight sets each this Australian Open, and we say they’ll add a few more this Saturday.

Hurkacz, the number nine seed this year, leads the head-to-head against Humbert 2-0. However, last time the pair met it was as close as can be. The match, played in Basel last October, was determined by a final set tiebreak, which Hurkacz won 7-5. Given the nature of the world number nine’s play—hold serve and hope for the best—the Pole naturally goes to a lot of tiebreaks and deciding sets, regardless of who the player is.

While we think Hurkacz will win this one, the odds that international betting sites are offering for this to be a four-set match are simply too enticing. It offers an option for Humbert, recent titlist in Metz, to win the match as well, while accounting for the reality that Hurkacz is the better player on balance and should win in four.

Elina Svitolina vs Viktorija Golubic

Melbourne Park, 20th January 2024, time TBC

Svitolina to win 2-0 @ 1.50 (bet365)

One player who is on fire this Australian Open is Elina Svitolina. The Ukrainian has looked untroubled across the first two rounds of the tournament, racing past Taylor Preston and Viktoriya Tomova for the loss of just four games in each.

Viktorija Golubic’s story down under couldn’t be more contrasting. The Swiss player has had to fight tooth and nail in every match she’s played. First, she outlasted number 15 seed Veronika Kudermetova in a two-hour, 21 minute arm-wrestle, before going the distance again in the second round to beat Katerina Siniakova.

Having spent so much time on court already, it’s hard to see the world number 85 putting up much resistance against a refreshed Svitolina. Back the Ukrainian to take care of this one in straight sets to book her spot in the round of 16 on Saturday.
