All of the biggest names in Australian racing are in the mix for the Golden Slipper at Rosehill Gardens this weekend.

Some of the biggest and best horses from across Australia find themselves in contention at Rosehill Gardens on Saturday, with a card that should offer something for everybody with all punters and Aussie bookmakers.

Ran over 1200m, the Darby Munro Stakes promises to be a fast and furious affair, with some excellent horses in contention.

Some of the most exciting 3-year-olds in Australia line up for the Darby Munro Stakes and with A$200k in the prize pot, there is plenty for owners, trainers, and connections to get stuck into.

The trip at Rosehill Gardens should be ideal, with speed the name of the game and this could be a real blink and you’ll miss it affair. 

Topping the betting is Schwarz, a long-fancied pick for connections who now looks ready to mix it with the big boys. The openness of the field is exemplified by both Robrick and Red Resistance being next in the betting, two superb horses in their own right and they should both be in the hunt at $5.00 and $7.50 respectively with Punterspal. 

The Golden Slipper possesses one of the biggest prize pots of the year and with so many exciting horses in action, it is a race that offers something for old and new betting sites alike. With A$5 million in the prize pot and A$2.8 million of that going to the winner, this should be an absolute cracker at Rosehill Gardens.

Only good horses are in the mix in the Golden Slipper and both Lady of Camelot and Straight Charge should be firmly in the conversation from the outset and both can be backed at a very healthy $8.00 and $11.00 respectively with Bet365.

The penultimate race of the day at Rosehill Gardens is another Group 1 contest, as the big names line up once more in the Kia Ora Galaxy. Ran over just 1100m, speed will be the key priority for all here and every horse has it in abundance, as they look to get their hands on the A$1 million prize fund.

Some of the names and horses in the mix here are testament to the prestige in which the Kia Ora Galaxy is held and winning a Group 1 race still holds the same sense of grandeur that it always has with owners, punters, and trainers.

In a very open field, Ozzmosis is the horse to beat, with the 3-year-old having won 80% of its career starts and having been mightily impressive along the way. Conditions and trip will be a little more testing than last time out, but Ozzmosis is a quality operator, who will be the one to catch here at $4.20 with Bet365.

The deadly duo of James Cummings and James McDonald team up again with the next horse in the betting, as Aft Cabin lines up for the prolific team. Whilst it has yet to show any sort of consistency, Aft Cabin is a very good horse, who should be in the mix from the outset here at a healthy $5.00 with Playup.
