Saturday Racing Tips - Rosehill Gardens 20/01/24

The big race days continue to roll in at Rosehill Gardens and there is another superb day of racing in prospect this Saturday, which is generating plenty of attention with Aussie bookmakers.

The second contest of the day from Rosehill Gardens looks to be a very open one, with A$120,000 in the prize pot in the Tab Highway Handicap. 
 
With some excellent horses and jockeys in contention here, it is a race that will be generating plenty of attention with punters and Aussie bookmakers with the action set to be fast and furious over 1400m.

A class 3 handicap is representative of the quality of the horses involved in this contest and it looks to be one of the most open races on the card, with as many as 22 horses potentially lining up here. 

Topping the betting is Associate, a lightly raced 4-year-old that has been in and out of form over the past few seasons but clearly has the best racing credentials in this wide and varied field. Recent showings won’t be too confidence building for backers, but it is clearly the horse to beat here at $3.70 with Playup. 

Next up in the betting ring is Miss Ghent, a 3-year-old that looks to have an extremely bright future ahead of it and connections are starting to be very excited about what a prospect it could be. 

This is clearly a step up in terms of competition but Miss Ghent should be firmly in the mix here at $6.00 with Bet365. 

With so many horses in this field, there looks to be plenty of value to be found with plenty of the runners and Cenotes and Lensman look to offer seriously decent  chances and they look to be worth a shot at $19.00 and $23.00 respectively with Punterspal.  

The exciting contests continue at Rosehill Gardens, with the Rosehill Bowling Club Stakes offering up an opportunity for plenty of horses, owners, and trainers. A$160,000 in the prize pot is attracting the attention of both old and new betting sites, and this should be a fascinating contest.

Whilst plenty of the horses in this contest are relatively inexperienced, there is plenty of raw talent on display and this should be a great watch at Rosehill Gardens. 

Ran over 1200m, every horse here will need to be at it from the off and there should be plenty of opportunities for all levels of punter with the best Aussie bookmakers. 

The heavy favourite for this one is Time To Boogie, a prolific 4-year-old for Michael Freedman who continues to go from strength to strength at this level. Impressive showings in stronger fields will give punters real confidence here and it will be the heavy market leader at $1.40 with Punterspal.  

Next up in the betting is Stromboli, another prolific performer who has been showing serious signs of form recently. This should be an ideal fit for a horse with the calibre of Stromboli and it represents a decent punt at $4.60 with Playup. 

Claims can be made for plenty of other horses in this one, with some decent prize money at stake but perhaps Meritable and Noble Soldier represent the best value at $10.00 and $23.00 respectively with Bet365. 

The handicap contests continue apace at Rosehill Gardens and race 8 is another standout offering on the excellent card. Ran over 1500m, there are plenty of big-name connections in the mix here, all seeking a chunk of the very decent A$150,000 prize fund. 
 
Bisley Workwear Handicap 

Another excellent array of horses assemble here at Rosehill Gardens and by the time that race 8 comes around, punters and betting apps should have a firm grip on how the track is running. 

Topping the betting in the Bisley Workwear Handicap is Kiwi flyer Step Aside, a horse that has been prolific in New South Wales racing in recent times and it will certainly be the standard bearer in this one. 

Whilst it will have to produce a good performance to come out on top, Step Aside is the justified market leader at $2.75 with Bet365. 

Next in the betting is Buillt, a horse that comes from serious stock for Chris Waller and arrives here at Rosehill Gardens off the back of an impressive triumph at Royal Randwick last time out. 

This is a step up in quality but Buillt should firmly be in the mix at $4.40 with Playup. 

Elsewhere, there are plenty of horses that have decent claims and perhaps the two that look most likely to be in the running are Crafty Eagle and Anythink Goes, who are $5.50 and $7.50 respectively with Punterspal.
