Flemington - Race 7 (1100m)

Selections:
#1 Manolo Bling - $4.40
#3 Princess Que - $6.00
#2 Kirribilli - $5.50

GET ON - #1 Manolo Bling
Manolo Bling is sending form into this 1100m race - she is six for six for a win rate of 33.33 percent and a place rate of 66.67 percent. As a three year old, she was last seen at Geelong over the same trip when carrying 56.5kg from barrier two and ran sixth. She has run well before on this course, winning well previously at Flemington over 1000m. Ethan Brown, with 60kg from the 8 barrier, will ride Manolo Bling and she has a good record with him in the saddle.

THREAT - #3 Princess Que
Princess Que has been ultra consistent with 100 per cent place percentage from three runs. She won at Moonee Valley back in December and also finished 2nd at the same track after that. She has Damian Lane in the saddle and comes out of barrier 11 with 56kg. Lack of experience at this track is a query, but her good form and liking for dry conditions indicates she should be a top pick.

ROUGHIE - #2 Kirribilli
With a 50 per cent win rate and 100 per cent place record from just two starts, Kirribilli comes into this one with good form. She ran third in her last assignment over this trip at Caulfield and has had a win at Cranbourne travelling 1200m on a soft surface. Jumping from barrier 7, Kerribilli carries 58kg under Blake Shinn and her sharp early career form and proficiency on dry tracks means she is very live here.

Flemington - Race 8 (2000m)

Selections:
#15 Deakin - $2.45
#10 Arugamama - $7.50
#11 Bold Soul - $9.50

GET ON - #15 Deakin
Deakin gets into this 2000m race off a dominant Pakenham win over 2000m with 60kg in the saddle and drew barrier four. His seven place at Ballarat over 1600m indicated that he is happier running over further territory. Deakin picks up the ride again from Daniel Stackhouse and, with a 27.27 win rate and 45.45 place rate, carries 53kg from barrier 11. His second run back solidified his ability, and his performance at this distance should see hard to beat.

THREAT - #10 Arugamama
Back to back wins for Arugamama at Morphettville first out over 2400m and then out over 2500m. From 27 starts, she has a career win percentage of 22.22% and 55.56% place record. She gets Beau Mertens for this race, with a 53kg weight and will jump from barrier 14. Her recent solid form and strong record on good tracks makes her a definite threat.

ROUGHIE - #11 Bold Soul
Bold Soul is a very consistent horse, with a career strike rate of 41.67% and place percentage of 75%. His last run at Moonee Valley over 2040m was a struggle but was third over 2000m at Ballarat. This time it's the reins of Dean Yendall who has taken over on Bold Soul, on 53kg from barrier five. He has a good record over this distance and track, and he's a roughie at value.

Flemington - Race 9 (1400m)

Selections:
#7 Brazen Lady - $7.00
#6 Verdad - $4.40
#17 Red Phantom - $8.50

GET ON - #7 Brazen Lady
Brazen Lady has had a steady campaign coming through fourth in her most recent race over 1200m at Geelong plus fifth over 1400m at Ballarat prior to that. She is 19.23% for her career and 57.69% for her place percentage and has been consistent across 26 starts. From barrier two, she will shoulder 58kg, with Damian Lane guiding her. A top three record at Flemington stands her in good stead, makes her the pick in a top field.

THREAT - #6 Verdad
While he doesn’t have a remarkable win rate, with 7.69% from 13 starts, Verdad excels at placing 69.23% of the time. He was second last start over 1800m at Flemington and second again last start at Moonee Valley over 1600m. Verdad (59kg) from barrier four takes the ride with Ethan Brown. He has been in good form recently and has a good record generally and looms as a major danger.

ROUGHIE - #17 Red Phantom
Coming into this race, Red Phantom is coming off a third in Moonee Valley over 1200m. He’s competitive with a career win percentage of 19.05 per cent and a 47.62 per cent place rate from 21 starts. Red Phantom, with 54.5kg, carries the ride from barrier 11. With three wins over 1400m to his name, he's a genuine roughie that people should watch.
