What can Brighton muster from the end of the 2023/24 campaign?

Progressing from battling for Premier League survival to playing European football is always one of the toughest transitions in Premier League football. 
 
Brighton have progressed from being a plucky underdog to a side with expectations placed upon them over the past few seasons and the 2023/24 campaign has taken its toll. 
 
The Seagulls will be aiming for a strong end to the season, as they look to rebuild during the summer and kick on in 2024/25 and there is plenty hoped of them next season by all pundits and EPL betting sites.

A curious campaign for Brighton in 2022/23 just kept getting better, as the Seagulls reached the FA Cup semi-final, having dealt with the departure of manager Graham Potter mid-way through the campaign. 
 
Roberto De Zerbi breathed fresh life into an already blossoming Brighton side and the Seagulls finished 6th, their highest ever league finish in the club’s history. 
 
Consequently, they were able to play in the Europa League this season and much was expected of them this term, with a top 4 place even mooted with some EPL betting sites and punters. 
 
Injury crisis 

The global football calenda is having a huge impact on injuries generally in football currently and few clubs have felt the brunt of it more than Brighton. 
 
Key men Kauro Mitoma, Solly March, James Milner, Pervis Estupinian and Ewan Ferguson have all missed significant chunks of this campaign. 
 
Not to mention the departure of key players such as Leandro Trossard and Moises Caicedo in the past 12 months, for humungous transfer fees that came with them, meaning the playing personnel at Brighton has been heavily impacted in recent times. 
 
Finishing strongly 

Whilst the midweek 4-0 loss to Manchester City wasn’t a huge surprise, Brighton will be hoping to salvage some pride from their remaining games this season. 
 
Games against Bournemouth, Aston Villa, Newcastle United and Manchester United await in their final 4 fixtures of the campaign. 
 
Brighton are a side that are never written off by any EPL pundits or betting sites and they will want to finish this season as strongly as they possibly can.
