Having arrived in the Premier League to great fanfare at Chelsea back in 2020, Timo Werner was never really able to hit the promised heights.
Possessing an incredible goal record in German football, Werner was expected to tear up the Premier League for Chelsea, but he only scored 10 goals, across three seasons.
Werner returned to RB Leipzig in the summer of 2022, but with opportunities now limited with the German giants too, Tottenham have offered him an olive branch back into the Premier League.

Werner out to prove people wrong
With an incredible goal record for RB Leipzig in the Bundesliga, Chelsea picked up arguably the most sought-after talent in world football back in 2020.
Arriving at Stamford Bridge for £47.5 million, Werner looked set to propel Chelsea back up to the top of the Premier League table.
However, the German never really settled in North London, registering just 10 Premier League goals in over 50 games, before heading back to Leipzig in 2022.
Returning to the Premier League gives Werner a chance to fulfill his promise and at the age of 27, he could still have his best years ahead of him.
Big shoes to fill
One of the reasons that Tottenham have turned to the transfer market in January is due to the face that Son Heung-min is away on Asian Cup duty with South Korea.
The prolific striker has been banging the goals in this season in the Premier League, making him a front runner for the Golden Boot with many EPL betting apps.
His goals and assists will be severely missed by Spurs but having Timo Werner in their ranks, does give Ange Postecoglou the chance to shuffle the pack if he deems fit.
How far can Spurs go in 2023/24?
The transformation at Tottenham has arguably been the story of the Premier League season so far, with ‘big Ange’ changing the whole narrative around the club.
Whilst the early season hubris of winning the title has worn off, Spurs remain in the hunt for a top 4 finish at the half way stage.
Having Timo Werner as an option, along with the likes of Richarlison, Brennan Johnson and Dejan Kulusevski gives Tottenham’s attack a real X-factor.
Finishing in the top 4 would represent a superb return for Tottenham and how Timo Werner would love to help them there, with Spurs currently priced at $2.50 with GetSetBet to finish in the Premier League’s top 4.
