Perfect Palmer
Leaving Manchester City for Chelsea in the summer of 2023 for £45 million was seen as a stepping stone for Cole Palmer, who struggled for game time at the Etihad.
However, Palmer has been one of the shining lights in the Premier League this season, scoring goals for fun in a struggling Chelsea side.
Consistency in the EPL has led Gareth Southgate to entrust Palmer for a role within this England squad and he looks set to be one of the key names on the plane to Germany in the summer.
Young guns in the mix
With the likes of Kalvin Phillips and Raheem Sterling being overlooked by Gareth Southgate, younger players are being given their opportunity within the England set up.
Anthony Gordon moved from Everton to Newcastle in January 2023 and he is playing some of his best football at St James’s Park and finds himself in the fold for the first time.
As does his former Everton team mate Jarrad Branthwaite, who has been a rock at the heart of Sean Dyche’s defence this season.
Both should get their chance to impress for their country for the first time, as Gareth Southgate looks to broaden his selection horizons.
All systems go for Gomez
Liverpool remain firmly in the hunt for the EPL title with many betting sites and the return of Joe Gomez has been a huge part of that.
Having suffered with a loss of form and injuries in recent seasons, Joe Gomez was on the periphery at Anfield at the start of the season.
Injuries to the likes of Trent Alexander Arnold and Andrew Robertson have given Gomez his chance to impress, which he has taken with both hands, and he too could be in the mix for Euro 2024.
