Can Manchester City dig deep once again this season?

To the casual observer, talk of an injury crisis at Manchester City would seem a little fleeting, due to the quality Pep Guardiola’s team have in their ranks. 
 
However, City haven’t spent as much money as the likes of Chelsea, Arsenal or Manchester United in the last decade and their squad isn’t as bumper packed as a result. 
 
City are in the midst of an injury crisis, at the wrong time of the season and they don’t have their usual air of supremacy about them with EPL betting sites and punters. 

Craving Kevin 

It has been a curious season for City, who remain in the hunt for three trophies without really playing particularly well. 
 
Central to that could be the absence of Kevin de Bruyne, who has made just 6 Premier League starts all season. 
 
Despite that, he has made 5 assists and his creativity is something City have been lacking this term. 
 
De Bruyne missed the recent Belgium internationals, and he is expected to miss the next few games for City, at a crucial point in the season. 
 
Defensive worries 

Whilst City’s defence hasn’t hit the heights of last year in terms of clean sheets, they remain a formidable team for anybody to break down. 
 
England duo Kyle Walker and John Stones limped off during midweek friendlies and the absence of both of them could have a big impact on City in the title race with EPL betting sites. 
 
Elsewhere, Manuel Akanji also picked up an injury on international duty for Switzerland and he too is expected to miss out against Arsenal. 
 
Second choice keeper 

In addition to all of the outfield issues City have endured this season, their talismanic goalkeeper Ederson is also set for a lengthy injury layoff. 
 
Having picked up a knock at Anfield against Liverpool, Ederson may not be back in action until mid-April and his calming presence is always missed when he is not playing. 
 
Stefan Ortega is a more than able deputy but once again, City are having to call upon the depth of their squad to keep them in contention.
