Can Luton Town stay in the Premier League?

With just 6 weeks of the regular Premier League season to play, the battle to stay in the EPL is starting to intensify. 
 
Luton Town were tipped by many pundits and EPL betting sites to be making an instant return to the Championship this season. 
 
However, the Hatters continue to plug away and they are fighting for their Premier League lives. 

Remarkable Rob 

Having joined the club as manager in the early stages of the 2022/23 campaign, Rob Edwards was tasked with carrying on the good work completed by the departing Nathan Jones. 
 
Edwards has surpassed that very quickly, as he guided Luton to the playoff final at Wembley, where they overcame Coventry City to reach the Premier League. 
 
Whilst Luton have only won 6 of their 32 games played this season, they have mixed it with all of the big boys, testament to Edwards and his coaching style. 
 
Points plus 

A glance at the EPL table doesn’t tell the whole story however, as Luton have been one of the beneficiaries of other sides picking up points deductions. 
 
Nottingham Forest, the side directly above them in the table, were hit with a 4-point penalty by the EPL for breaking their spending rules. 
 
Whilst Everton, who sit 4 points above them in 15th, were also hit with a points deduction of 6 for breaking the same regulations. 
 
Big games to come 

There are only 6 games left in the EPL season for Luton Town, who picked up a win over Bournemouth last time out, a result not anticipated by many EPL pundits or betting sites. 
 
The Hatters face tricky looking trips to Manchester City, Wolves and West Ham, games they will be aiming to be dogged in. 
 
However, they welcome Fulham, as well as relegation rivals Everton and Brentford to Kenilworth Road, in what will be two ties that could be crucial in terms of their EPL safety ambitions.
