England all-rounder’s pre-match antics left him in hot water

The cut and thrust of T20 franchise cricket sees international stars pop from team to team with relative regularity.

Rather than accept the umpire’s decision, Curran ran at the match official to practice his bowling action, narrowly avoiding a collision. 
 
Serious code of conduct violation  

With the incident logged on the umpire’s report and with video footage of the incidents doing the rounds on social media, Tom Curran looked to be a man walking a tight rope. 
 
Cricket Australia and the rule makers in the Big Bash decided that Curran’s behaviour was unacceptable, and he would face a suspension. 
 
Sydney Sixers and Tom Curran both pledged their remorse over the incident but a 4-match ban was thrown at the England all-rounder, a decision is sure to have an impact with the Sydney Sixers’ status with a whole host of BBL betting sites. 
 
Can the Sixers cope? 

With three wins from 4 games played, the Sydney Sixers certainly aren’t pressing the panic button just yet. 
 
Their only defeat came without Curran in the side against the Melbourne Stars, but they look well placed to make the top 4 with many betting apps.
