The home stretch is very much upon us in BBL 13 and the prospect of the Melbourne Renegades taking on local rivals the Melbourne Stars is a mouth-watering one.
Things haven’t gone the way of the Renegades this season and with a playoff place now beyond them, they will be out to finish the campaign as strongly as possible.
For the Melbourne Stars meanwhile, this will be another game they need to navigate, as they look to maintain their BBL playoff push.
Melbourne Renegades
Another turbulent season has been endured by the Melbourne Renegades, who remain stuck at the bottom of the BBL table. Winning one game this term has been deemed as progress in comparison to last season but there hasn’t been too much for the Renegades fans to shout about of late.
With the legendary Aaron Finch set to walk away from cricket after this BBL campaign with the Renegades too, he will be desperate to go out with a bang here.

Melbourne Stars
Despite enduring a tough start to the BBL 13 campaign, Melbourne Stars find themselves in the playoff shakeup with just a couple of games to play.
Having the likes of Marcus Stoinis and Glenn Maxwell in their ranks has been hugely telling in the upturn in fortune for the Stars and they look to be peaking at the right time.
A win in this one would keep the chasing pack at bay and if they can overcome the Hobart Hurricanes in their final fixture, they will be assured of a top 4 spot.
