The 2023 AFL Grand Final pits the top two sides from the regular season against each other, as Collingwood take on Brisbane.
So much of the 2023 campaign has been about the Collingwood Magpies, who have been consistent throughout the season and cruised to the regular season title.
It is hard to believe that Collingwood’s last AFL Premiership came back in 2010 and their fans will be desperate to see them get the job done at their home, the MCG.
Coming through tough playoff games against Melbourne and the GWS Giants should instill them with confidence ahead of this one and they will be backed to the hilt at the ‘G’.
Meanwhile, for the Brisbane Lions, it has been a steady progression this season – something that has been noted by most AFL betting sites.
Finishing second in the regular season table was justification for their improvement throughout the campaign and they have made the Gabba a fortress once again.
With their last Premiership title coming back in 2003, the Brisbane Lions have an army of fans expecting them to deliver and they may get no better chance than this to clinch an AFL title.
Wins over Port Adelaide and Carlton have left them on the brink and whilst they will certainly trouble Collingwood, the Magpies could just be too strong, in front of their partisan crowd at the MCG.
