With Geelong seeing their 100% record go out of the window last time out, there are no more unbeaten streaks to protect in the AFL this season and the race to finish in the playoffs remains on for all punters and AFL betting sites. Having won the Sydney derby last weekend, the Sydney Swans travel to Fremantle this weekend, St Kilda hit the road at Hawthorn, whilst Adelaide and Brisbane lock horns.

Two sides who could do with a win if they are to climb the table and challenge for the AFL playoffs meet here, as Hawthorn host St Kilda. 

An unforeseen win on the road at the Western Bulldogs last week was hugely impressive for Hawthorn, who had only won one game prior to that this season, and they will be hoping it could be a catalyst moving forwards. 
 
Meanwhile, St Kilda also won last time out, beating North Melbourne, but other than that, they have really lacked rhythm this term and they will want to pick up a win here. 

The Hawks will make this tough for the Saints, but St Kilda should manage to pick up a good win on their travels here and they are the favourites to win this one with most punters and AFL betting sites.

May 12th, 19:00, Adelaide Oval 

Brisbane have really struggled to hit their straps in 2024 and they will want to arrest their relative decline, as they travel to Adelaide – a match that is hotly anticipated by all AFL betting sites. 

For the Adelaide Crows, building on their superb win over local rivals Port Adelaide last time out will be their primary objective, as they look to tackle the inconsistency that has blighted them this year. 

Brisbane got back on song against Gold Coast last weekend though, a result they should be buoyed by, and the fixture list looks to be a little kinder to them over the next few weeks. 

This one could truly go either way, with nothing to split these two teams but perhaps Brisbane represent the better value bet.
