AFL Multi Bet of the Weekend

With some incredible results in the opening weekend, punters and AFL betting sites would be forgiven for admitting that anything could happen heading into the third week of the regular season.

Defending champions Collingwood are winless from their opening 3 games and they face a very tricky task on the road at Brisbane next, whilst Fremantle and St Kilda will be looking to continue their great starts to the season, as they take on Adelaide and Essendon respectively.

Brisbane vs Collingwood

March 28th, 19:30, The Gabba

The top two sides from last season have endured a tough start to 2024 and Brisbane and Collingwood meet here with plenty to prove to both AFL punters and multi betting sites

Losing both of their opening games has put a seed of doubt within the perception of this Brisbane Lions side, who were imperious for huge periods in 2023 and they will want to return to form here in front of their own fans.

Their plight however is put into context by Collingwood, who have conspired to lose all three of their opening games and they are being written off by all and sundry with only three games played this term.

Obviously, both sides could do without this fixture following their roughs starts to the campaign and there will be plenty of blood shed here at the Gabba.

Whilst it seems inconceivable that Collingwood could lose 4 on the spin, Brisbane need a win and they tend to get them at home, no matter who they are playing against.

Best Bet: Brisbane to win the match - $1.40 (Bet365)

Fremantle vs Adelaide

March 29th, 19:20, Optus Stadium

For all the aforementioned doom and gloom associated with Brisbane and Collingwood, Fremantle are riding the crest of a wave in the AFL table and their performances are turning heads with plenty of punters and AFL betting sites.

Next up is a tricky looking fixture against Adelaide, a side that haven’t hit their straps yet this season but who possess plenty of dangerous players within their ranks.

On paper there is very little to split these sides and they will both be bang up for the challenge, but Fremantle look to be playing with freedom currently and they could well rack up another potentially important home win at Optus Stadium.

Best Bet: Fremantle to win the match - $1.54 (GetSetBet)

Essendon vs St Kilda

March 30th, 17:20, Marvel Stadium

Melbourne looks set to come to a standstill here, as old foes Essendon and St Kilda face off, in a fixture that always gets things moving for punters and all AFL betting sites

The Essendon Bombers were undone by the Sydney Swans last time out and they will want to put in a response here, especially against their cross-city rivals, who are building up ahead of steam.

For the Saints, building on their impressive win over Collingwood last time out will be their primary objective and they will believe that if they can just keep the wins ticking over, they could go far this season.

This will be an absolute firecracker at Marvel Stadium, with no love lost between either of these two teams and whilst Essendon will give it a good go, St Kilda should have enough about them to overcome this test.

Best Bet: St Kilda to win the match - $1.62 (Unibet)
