9 races make up a super card from Morphettville on 10/02/24.

On a busy day of racing across Australia, it is the 9-race card from Morphettville that arguably catches the eye the most for both punters and online bookmakers.

There are plenty of close contests in prospect and heaps of multi betting opportunities out there for those who want to win big.

Race 2: Galilaeus

Ran over 2500m, the second race of the day at Morphettville will be a real test of attrition and British stayer Galilaeus has that in droves.

A horse that is relatively new to punters and Aussie bookmakers alike, Galilaeus comes from serious stock in the UK and is well backed here.

Piercing Sky looks to be the number one challenger in this one but if Galilaeus gets a clean run, it will be very difficult to stop here.

Tip: Galilaeus to win the race @ $2.60 (TopSport)

Race 7: Arugamama

Arguably the highest quality contest on the card pits Arugamama against a strong field in race 7, with A$120,000 up for grabs in the JRA Plate.

The 2000m trip should make for compelling viewing, with plenty of horses in contention that know their way around longer tracks and the competition should be fierce.

Key challenge comes in the form of Second to Nun, another high-quality operator but Arugamama should just about manage to stave off the competition here.

Tip: Arugamama to win the race @ $3.20 (GetSetBet)

Race 8: La Defense

By contrast, race 8 is a fast and furious contest, ran over just 1100m and that is reflected in the openness of the betting.

La Defense is the stand out offering here, coming into this one off a 4-win streak and confidence should be high within the camp.

Any race over 1100m is always tough to predict but La Defense is an exciting prospect, who should relish the trip and it will be a very tough horse to stop.

Tip: La Defense to win the race @ $4.60 (Bet365)
